Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is located at 301 North Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, CA, 91007.  The arboretum contains over 127 acres of plants from around the world.  The Arboretum Library has over 20000 books and periodicals. The tours and maps lists what can be seen at the arboretum and how to get around it.  The photos highlight some of the things that can be seen at this arboretum.  The arboretum has living collections,wildlife, and historical structures.  Throughout the year, they offer events & classes.  The LA Garden Show is the largest outdoor gardening show on the West Coast.
 
Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden is located at on the southeastern corner of the UCLA campus. The  main entrance is on Tiverton Ave., near the Emergency Center of the Hospital.  The south entrance is at the corner of Hilgard Ave. and  Le Conte Ave., and the north entrance is opposite The Patio, behind  the Botany Building. The Flora of the Santa Monica Mountains tells what species are located in that area.  They are open from 8am Monday through Saturday except for University holidays.
 
Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden is located at 1500 North College Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711.  The garden is on 86 acres and is dedicated exclusively to California native plants.  The calender list the events that are going on at the garden.  In the Garden describes the garden.  Gardening with Native Plants explant how you can create your own native garden.  Research describe what is currently being studied here.  Community Education offers over 80 courses on gardening with native plants.  Biodiversity and Conservation focus on important of these two items to a garden.  Collections includes the Herbarium, the library, the Living Collections, and the seed conservation program.  
 
Sherman Library and Garden is located at 2647 East Pacific Coast Highway, Corona del Mar, CA 92625.  It is a 2.2 acre garden museum.
 
The Hortense Miller Garden is located at 22511 Allview Terrace, Laguna Beach, CA on 2 1/2 acres.  There are photos of the garden.  They offer guided tours Tuesday through Saturday.
